My Place

I feel the prickling fur of the massive laboratory rats as they scurry to the light of the bright little torch. The old thick spider webs stick to my face as I walk through the abandoned hallway.I see an old rusty chair bolted to the floor in the middle of the room with a naked light bulb hanging above it. Metal medicine cabinets sit against the dusty walls. The smell of dead animals full my nose.

My art

Hey, today and yesterday our class made string art and it's quit fun to make so you should try and make it.

What you do is get a piece of wood, nails and string. You hammer the nails into the wood and then put the string from nail to nail.

<- here is mine

Going to the river

I walk onto the green slippery rocks of the speeding river stumbling as I get in, after cutting wood on a hot and humid day. As I get in my breath gets stolen. Finally I dive down under the water then quickly swim out because of the cold icy water.

I grab my towel so numb with coldness and dry off. With shaking hands I grab a handful of chips and stick them in my mouth. After everyone gets we all get into our van and all drive home shaking and cold.

THE END

This activity needs your help.

You are invited to build on to the story by adding a comment. This means you need to zoom out of the image below with your imagination...like who is holding the ice cream? What else might be in the picture if you zoomed out a bit? What might happen next?

Be sure to read others' comments first, and continue the story, by zooming out even further. We could build an amazing story. Give it a go!

So, here is the start of the story...

As I watch the tree frog silently jump up the vine I here rustling in the bush behind me.

here is another start of a story...
As i look i see something more behind it a hole bunch of...

Jacks metaphors

Jack is a speeding Hennessey Venom GT with rough grippy tires zooming round sharp corners.

Jack is a small shack sitting in a light but bushy forest with a stream rushing past.
Jack is a little jacket with snuggly warm wool sitting in a cold closet.
Jack is a piece of tuff stake with no nice juice sitting in the pig bin.
Jack is a soft meerkat with short sharp claws digging his home.
